The earliest parish record found in Cork City shows that in 1804, a marriage took place between Patrick Mountain
and Catherine (Kate) Cunningham, at St. Mary and St. Anne's Cathedral (the North Cathedral) Cork.
A record of James Mountain's birth still has to be found to verify whether Patrick and Catherine were his parents.
